Hearing aids filters and wax guards

1. Wash your hands thoroughly.

2. Remove the Old Filter:

• Use the removal end of the tool to gently pull out the old filter from the hearing aid.

3. Insert the New Filter:

• Use the new filter end of the tool to pick up a fresh filter.
• Insert the new filter into the opening and press gently until it clicks into place.

4. Dispose of the Old Filter:

• Properly discard the used filter.

 

5. Check Your Hearing Aid:

• Ensure the filter is secure and the hearing aid is functioning properly.

Regular replacement:

Replace your hearing aid filters every 4 to 8 weeks to maintain optimal performance.

Signs to Replace Sooner:

• Sound is muffled or weaker than usual.
• Hearing aid stops working, even with a fresh battery.
• Visible wax or debris on the filter.

Personal Factors:

•  If you produce more earwax, you may need to replace filters more frequently.
• Humid or dusty environments can also clog filters faster.

• Establish a regular schedule to prevent unexpected issues.
